Banking and month-end process, additional charges

The NCC corporate Barclays Bank contract (free banking period) is due to expire on 31 July 2017. Therefore we would like to remind schools that have a Barclays Account about the fees that will be charged to schools via the download where information is requested from the Finance & Business Services Team (FaBS):

  • Replacement of lost card reader: £5.00
  • Replacement of lost bank card: £3.00

It is expected that the issuing of paper statements by post from Barclays could soon cease and all schools will be required to log-on to Barclays.net so as to be able to access their bank statements and complete their month-end bank reconciliation. However, paper statements will be available by request for which a fee will be charged directly by Barclays:

  • Monthly paper statements: £3.00 per month

Where schools are having problems accessing their statements, copies can be provided by request from the Finance & Business Services Team, for which the following fees will apply:

  • Request for statement via FaBS: £5.00 per request

Requests for copies of statements must be made using the following e-mail address - schools.finance@educatorsolutions.org.uk; FSOs will not be able to provide the statements directly.

It is essential that schools are aware that it is their responsibility to ensure that when staff who have Barclays bank cards leave the employment of the school, their card is deactivated and returned to the FSO and a new card user set up for the new employees as required using the following link: www.eficts.norfolk.gov.uk/Finance/Banking/BarclaysNet.pdf
