Delay in sending out e-courier notification emails

As you may have already heard, it appears that a power surge caused the loss of our telephone, email and IT systems, and started a small electrical fire in the County Hall basement. The fire was monitored and managed throughout, in line with our normal procedures. As soon as it was thought there might be any threat to staff safety, we evacuated the building quickly and safely. IT systems were restored over the bank holiday weekend.

As a result of the loss of IT systems the notifications about the new e-courier were not emailed out at the normal time, and have had to be sent out manually. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. The systems have been restored and Friday's notification will hopefully go out as normal.
