Norfolk Standing Advisory Council For Religious Education (SACRE) Needs Your Feedback
The Norfolk Standing Advisory Council for Religious Education (SACRE), with support from the County Council, seeks to:
- Advise the Local Authority on matters regarding Religious Education
- Support schools in review and self evaluation of their provision for Religious Education
- Review, develop and publish an Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education which has been adopted by the local authority
The Norfolk SACRE is very well aware that the educational landscape has changed considerably since its statutory requirements were established, but it still seeks to find an effective way of fulfilling its role in supporting every pupil/student in a maintained educational establishment in Norfolk.
The Local Authority will shortly call an Agreed Syllabus Conference to review the current syllabus. In the light of this, the SACRE would welcome input and reflection from all stakeholders involved in the delivery of RE across the county. The most crucial contributors to this review will be the teachers who stand at the frontline of the subject's delivery. To this end I shall be grateful if you, or someone else within your establishment, will complete this short survey: www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/sacre2017.
I hope you will be able to engage with and support this review and I look forward to receiving your response. If you would like a member of the SACRE to meet with you, your governors or your teachers of RE in all key stages we shall be pleased to arrange this.
