Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) Induction 2017/18
Reminder to register your Newly Qualified teacher
Registering your NQT with Norfolk Appropriate Body
All schools/ institutions using Norfolk Appropriate Body (NAB) will need to register newly appointed NQTs on our electronic on-line system, NQT Manager. This is a paperless system for recording data securely, submitting assessments, accessing resources, raising alerts and managing NQTs during induction. NQT co-ordinators or head teachers can access the system by following this link: norfolk.nqtmanager.com.
Our service is designed to attract Newly Qualified Teachers to the area, meet local need and give NQT's the best experience and support on offer.
For each NQT registered with Norfolk Appropriate Body, the cost is £235 per term per full-time NQT. Concessions for schools with more than five NQTs, schools will receive a 10% reduction for each additional NQT registered.

These have been extended to include pedagogical sessions in addition to the popular breakfast workshops for English, Maths and Behaviour Management. Full details of which will be published on registration.
Annual Conference
NQTs starting in the Autumn Term will be invited to our introductory welcome event. The keynote speaker for 2017 is Sir John Jones, one of the most entertaining, inspiring and sought-after speakers on the global educational stage. The event includes an overview of what to expect during induction and a choice of workshops designed specifically to meet NQT needs.
NQTs will receive an invitation on registration. NQTs who begin later or are unable to attend will receive an introductory welcome visit from our Adviser.
Support for Schools/Mentors
Termly sessions are delivered covering the statutory requirements and good practice. If you are unable to attend one of these sessions please contact the team to arrange a visit from our Adviser.
Support for vulnerable NQTs
We pride ourselves on our record for supporting Schools with NQTs in need. Our support package is personalised according to individual need and mediated by our experienced Adviser.
Before you register your NQT:
Please check the following:
- The NQT has QTS and is eligible to start induction
- The NQT's last name and date of birth
- The NQTs post is a suitable post in accordance with statutory guidance 2.17.
