Strategic School Improvement Fund

The Strategic School Improvement Fund is intended to build a school-led system and aims to target resources at the schools most in need to improve school performance and pupil attainment.

If you weren't able to attend one of the Education Leadership Updates this term please click here to view Jonathan Lewis' PowerPoint presentation about the Strategic School Improvement Fund. More information can also be found on: www.gov.uk.

The fund is £140m per year for two years. Teaching schools Alliances, multi academy trusts and local authorities can submit bids. The next round of bids will need to be submitted in September 2017.

If you wish to be involved – either to provide/contribute to the improvement of others or to access some support it would be advantageous to be linked to a Teaching School.

If your school is contacted to be named as part of a bid, please see this as an opportunity to access funding and support. Different providers are bidding for different projects so you may be contacted by more than one bidder. It will then be your decision about how much capacity you have to work with potentially multiple bids.
