Professional Development Programme for Teachers of Swimming

As part of the Annual Professional Development Programme for teachers of swimming in the County, the date of 11th April 2005 has been identified for the annual CPD seminar. This will mean schools taking pupils to swimming lessons on this date should check as to whether their swimming teacher will be available.

The LEA fully supports this seminar day as part of the continuous professional development of swimming teachers in Norfolk. The seminar will focus on teaching of National Curriculum swimming and will be led by an external speaker. It would be helpful if all schools who host a swimming teacher could make arrangements to release their teacher for this important CPD date. If any schools have qualified teachers who also teach swimming, for example PE teachers in High Schools, then they are very welcome to attend (there is no charge for the course).
