HMI Visit Norfolk Workforce Remodelling Team National Workload Agreement and Remodelling Agenda

HMI Visit
Norfolk Workforce Remodelling Team
National Workload Agreement and Remodelling Agenda

I am writing to you to alert you to a scheduled survey on the progress of the National Workload Agreement as part of the Remodelling Agenda in Norfolk which will be carried out by HMI during the Spring Term 2005.

As I am sure many of you are aware from the recent Planning, Preparation and Assessment workshops that were run throughout the Autumn Term 2004, this major national initiative is being monitored throughout the Country by: each LEA, the National Remodelling Team (NRT), Ofsted, and HMI.

Members of HMI will visit County Hall in January to gather information on the progress of the Remodelling Agenda in Norfolk and later in the term they will arrange to visit a cross-section of schools throughout the LEA to gather information on the progress and impact of the Remodelling Agenda in schools. Their focus will be:

  • What remodelling support has been given to the LEA and schools from national organisations;
  • Where schools in Norfolk are currently with the 3 phases of implementation of the National Agreement and what plans are in place to achieve deadlines;
  • What is the impact on teaching and learning and work-life balance in schools.

    I am sure that if you are selected to provide feedback to HMI you will want to give a well thought out response that identifies the positive areas of the initiative as well as those which are causing concern for your school. In this way you will be able to support the LEA in their efforts to assist schools during this challenging period of change.

    HMI will provide feedback to the LEA by the end of the Spring Term, a summary of which will be placed on the Workforce Remodelling website which can be accessed through the A - Z of Esinet, under W.
