1) Curriculum Test Orders (DC2) 2005 2) Key Stage 2 & Key Stage 3 Assessment and Access Arrangements 2005

NAA have asked us to pass these important reminders on to schools:

1) Curriculum Test Orders (DC2) 2005

REMINDER - FOR SCHOOLS THAT HAVE NOT SUBMITTED NATIONAL CURRICULUM TEST ORDERS (DC2) The DC2 test ordering process began on 8 November 2004 and was due to be completed by 17 December 2004. However, a number of schools have not yet submitted orders for the key stage 2, key stage 3 and year 7 progress tests. If orders for key stage 2 and 3 are not submitted by 28 February 2005 school requirements will be based on previous years. This may result in schools receiving incorrect test materials. In the case of year 7 progress tests, if no order is received it will be assumed that the school does not wish to receive any test materials. No further orders will be taken for key stage 2, key stage 3 or year 7 progress tests after 28 February 2005. The absolute deadline for amendments to orders placed before 28 February is 24 March 2005.

If your school has not completed an order, please do this as soon as possible either by using http://nctest.naa.org.uk or by completing the paper DC2 forms already sent to schools. If your school has any difficulties or queries regarding test orders then you should call the helpline on 01709 704 699. Note: The process of placing test orders via the DC2 form should not be confused with the separate activity of registering pupils for the tests. For eligible schools, the NAA will obtain pupil registrations from the PLASC data supplied to the DfES.

2) Key Stage 2 & Key Stage 3 Assessment and Access Arrangements 2005

REMINDER - REQUESTS FOR ADDITIONAL TIME AND EARLY OPENING MUST BE RECEIVED BY 5.00PM ON TUESDAY 1ST MARCH 2005. Forms are available at www.naa.org.uk/testforms and should be sent to Chris Read at the Professional Development Centre, Woodside Road, Norwich NR7 9QL. Requests for additional time may require supporting assessments. Examples of tests which may support this process are available at www.qca.org.uk/45_9976.html
