Proposed Admission Number (PAN) for Academic Year 2006/7 and Review of School Net Capacity, Unfilled Places and Mobile Accommodation

Schools are requested to read the attached explanatory notes and guidance. These can also be found at: http://schools.norfolk.gov.uk/go/myschool/BR> Check and respond as necessary in respect of the following returns.

(Whilst schools are being sent paper-based documents for completion this year, it is planned that this exercise will be entirely electronic next year using a web based consultation and data collection system.)

Return A - Schools Admission Limit for 2006/7
Return B - Confirmation of schools capacity assessment
Return C - Review of unfilled places (if applicable)
Return D - Review of unfilled places and mobile classroom accommodation (if applicable)
Return E - Mobile accommodation review

RETURN A (see guidance notes 2.2)
The Chair of Governors is asked to check the Planned Admission Number (PAN), sign and return feedback form AS1 in agreement, or suggest an alternative PAN providing a supporting statement.

RETURN B (refer to Returns C and D if applicable and guidance notes 2.3)
The Headteacher is asked to check the accuracy of the accommodation details recorded on the Net Capacity Assessment Method Form in association with the floor plan. The Headteacher is also asked to refer to Return C and/or D below if applicable to your school. Please confirm the details supplied and the resultant Net Capacity figure by signing and returning form AS5.

RETURN C (see guidance notes 2.4)
If an accommodation feedback form AS2 (Unfilled Places (BVPI) is included in this documentation the Headteacher is asked to review the content and return the form with any comments as appropriate.

RETURN D (see guidance notes 2.5)
If feedback form AS3 (Mobile and Unfilled Places) is included in this documentation the Headteacher is asked to review the content and return the form with any comments as appropriate.

RETURN E (see guidance notes 2.6)
All schools with one or more mobile class bases (teaching or non-teaching) are asked to complete form AS4 (Mobile Accommodation Feedback Form) as appropriate.
