Submission of KS3 Teacher Assessments 2005

Further to a previous MI Sheet on the subject of submission of KS3 Teacher Assessments, MI 59/05, I would like to confirm the arrangements.

The process will be as suggested previously, ie:

  1. KS3 Teacher Assessments entered or transferred, as usual, into Phoenix Gold Assessment Manager (or the assessment module of any other management information system)

  2. An export file created in CTF format - this is the standard export file created by Phoenix Gold, SIMS, RM, etc.

  3. The CTF uploaded onto s2s by 30th June http://www.teachernet.gov.uk/management/tools/ims/s2s/ (this is a website which your school should already be using for transfer of pupil files).

I understand you will have received, in April, some details from NAA about the submission of KS3 Teacher Assessments and the above was one of the options. In Norfolk we have agreed that this would be our method of submission. I will have access to the files submitted on s2s in order to fulfil our commitment to ensure all files are sent. The reason for the early deadline is so that I can help to resolve any problems before the NAA's deadline of 11th July.

I have received clarification about how the Foundation Subjects will be reported. Rather than submitting a separate summary of your pupil data, each pupil's assessments in all subjects will be incorporated in the CTF file created by your management information system. NAA will calculate the school level information from the pupil data.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any queries regarding the above.
