Children's Services Profile 2005

A profile of the County has been drawn together to support the on-going work that is shaping the new Children's Services. The profile is built from existing measures relating to children and is intended to help those supporting the various developments focus on need and to be aware of successes.

The measures used are primarily defined within documents published by the DfES, but these have been augmented by other measures important to Norfolk.

The data is not seen as definitive but as a starting point. A key operational principle of Children's Services will be the use of data to provide evidence for prioritisation and performance. Undoubtedly, over time, the measures used will both grow in number and sophistication.
