Phase 2 Children’s Centres Consultation
We are entering the second phase of Children’s Centre developments and would welcome your contribution in helping us to determine where to site them.Children’s Centres are crucial to the delivery of the Government’s 10 year Childcare Strategy and contribute to improving the outcomes for all children set out in Every Child Matters; being safe, healthy, enjoying and achieving, economic wellbeing and making a contribution.
Norfolk County Council is leading on the development of Children’s Centres in Norfolk. There are already 7 Children’s Centres with a further 3 more to open by the end of March 2006. As part of the next phase of development we are consulting with stakeholders and service providers to gather information that will influence where the next 26 centres will be located and who will be key in the delivery of local services.
Please get involved in the consultation process by registering your views and commenting on proposed options. This information will form part of the recommendations document due to go to Norfolk County Council Cabinet Members on 12th December 2005. From the 19th October 2005, the consultation paper, options document and response form can be located by clicking on www.norfolk.gov.uk/childrenscentres. Deadline for responses is 25th November 2005. All documents can be easily printed from this site, however if you are unable to access this, please contact Sue Brown on 01603 223462 who will be able to help.
Outcomes of the consultation will be made available after 12th December. Thank you in advance for your contributions.
