Extended Services through Extended Schools and Children’s Centres: The Next Step

The Early Years and Childcare, Extended Schools and Workforce Remodelling teams wanted to say thank you to all those schools that have taken the time to complete the online proforma via MI 11/06 featured in the e-courier on 20th January. The information provided has been crucial to planning further support and training. We are aware that some schools through their own circumstances or choice have not been able to complete the proforma. However, we do have enough schools interested in taking part in the first pilot tranche starting early in March, and also for subsequent tranches into 2006 and 2007. If you have not completed the proforma, please may we ask that you do so over the next six months which will help with our planning, even if you make a nil return.

Throughout the process, ongoing advice and support will be available to all schools from the Extended Schools Team and the trainers delivering the programme, together with access to additional training modules which may be appropriate, whether you decide to access the full training programme or not.
