School Budget 2006-07 & Budget Planning Tool

Your School Budget Share for 2006-07 will be placed on the website www.efs.norfolk.gov.uk by lunchtime on Friday 3rd February 2006.

It includes Standards Fund, School Standards Grant and all the Teachers Pay Grant for the year. At present not all known Pupil Specific Grant is included as the SEN department still have some children to process, as many as possible of these will be included on the paper copies which will be sent to you by 28 February 2006 together with explanations and guidance.

The DfES have provided calculators for Minimum Funding Guarantee (MFG) and School Standards Grant (SSG), which can be found on www.teachernet.gov.uk and /specific grants200608 for SSG and /schoolbudgets200608 for MFG.

Budget Planning Tool:

The Budget Planning software will be made available to schools on Monday 6th February via AnyComms . This will allow schools to begin work on planning a 2006-07 budget if they wish. At this time, work cannot be done on 2007-08 because a budget share for 2007-08 will have to be sent to you by the end of February, this will be at 2007-08 outturn prices.

Once the 2007-08 budget share has been made available, you will need to be import via AnyComms. This will update the Budget share funding within your planner for 2007-08 and 2008-09. You will need to import the pupil numbers from within the forecaster sheet and review the budget for 2007-8 and 2008-09. Further guidance will be sent to schools once the 2007-08 Budget share is released.

An agreed budget should not be returned to County Hall until the second datafile has been received and reviewed and the budget plan agreed by your governing body.
