SERVICES TO SCHOOLS CONTRACT 2006/07
The annual contract and brochure detailing NCC services available to Norfolk LEA schools will be sent to schools in the first courier post after half term. The contract lists the services in sections A and B, together with levels of provision and the corresponding calculated amounts payable by your school.Services listed in section A all have monies delegated to school budgets which forms part of your budget share allocation. In fact small schools (less than 100 pupil fte's) simply hand these amounts back when choosing the package option on the first page, while larger schools taking this option receive a 10% discount from each service provider when buying all the service standard packages.
Section B of the contract contains services that have not been delegated to schools or have been delegated but have associated fees added and therefore form the basis of a voluntary scheme, such as Building Maintenance Partnership Pool (BMPP).
The first page of the contract shows school data that is used to calculate the majority of the services. It is therefore important to examine this data to ensure that this is correct. The Staff FTE information is taken as at 1 January and is provided by your personnel officer, the remaining information on the form is provided by the Finance section.
Services detailed in section C of the brochure can be purchased by contacting the providers direct (telephone numbers and e-mail addresses provided in brochure).
Important Changes
- Children Services (Communications & Public Relations) is new to Section A with additional monies delegated to schools for this service.
- ICT Solutions presents its strategy for the replacement of ICT resources in schools, named ICT Refresh. This is a four-year programme utilising funding available to schools in Devolved Formula Capital and Schools Development Grant.
- After discussion with Norfolk Schools Forum on 14 December, 2005 contract arrangements will continue on an annual basis.
