Oracle HR and Payroll System

Oracle HR and Payroll System

Our new Oracle Integrated Human Resource Information System bringing together staff and payroll information - will go live from 1 April. This will give us much better and more consistent information about staff and staffing issues.

Because of the transition to the new system our Employee Service Centre has had to reprioritise some non-payroll work, such as contract administration, and would like to apologise for any delays. They hope to have the new system settled as soon as possible after it goes live and will then be able to catch up with other outstanding work. Normal payroll services will continue and will be unaffected by this piece of work.

As a result of moving to the new system, arrangements for producing payslips will change. The payslip itself will be largely unaffected but the opportunity has been taken to clarify the payments and deductions for those members of staff who have more than one contract of employment with the County Council. Once the new system is live, staff with more than one job will receive a payslip for each.

Because of the move to the new process for payslip production, there may be a slight delay in the production of April payslips but this will have no impact on the transfer of money into bank accounts or the production of salary cheques.

To help the Employee Services Centre maintain the delivery of the payroll services during this period of transition, they ask for the support of all schools by sending all payroll related documentation to them as soon as possible to give sufficient time for work to be processed.

You will recently have received the termly reminder letter for your school asking for details of any changes for the Summer Term to be communicated to the Service Centre by 17th March, and to ensure that all claims for the period 20th February to 19th March are sent to the Service Centre as soon as possible after 19th March.

It would be further appreciated if you would help by ensuring that all claims for your school for the period 20th March to 31st March are sent to the Service Centre on 31st March and not delayed until the start of the Summer Term.

The Employee Service Centre thanks you for your support with this.
