Consultation on proposed changes - Keeping Children Safe in Education, September 2018

The Department for Education is seeking views on changes to the statutory guidance Keeping Children Safe in Education. The changes seek to provide further clarification on a number of aspects of school's safeguarding responsibilities. Annex H of the revised document provides a summary of substantive changes; some of these will reflect the parallel changes being made to Working Together to Safeguard Children.

In addition, the consultation also seeks views on new departmental non-statutory advice covering sexual violence and sexual harassment between children in schools and colleges.

The consultation was issued on 14 December 2017 and closes on 22 February 2018.
