Workforce Remodelling Audit

I am writing to you to ask for your assistance in updating our information on the progress of workforce reform/remodelling in your school. Over the last three years, a significant amount of change has occurred in regard to the school workforce and it is very important the we, as a Local Authority, keep updating our information on the progress being made by schools in Norfolk. We do this primarily so that we can predict the support and training needs of the school workforce and to enable us to build sufficient capacity to meet these needs.

Due to the considerable workload of Headteachers and members of the leadership team, I am seeking to avoid contributing to this further by asking that the attached audit be completed by Chairs of Governors, in consultation with other key Governors. It is hoped that the process of completing the audit will also contribute to information the Governors will find useful in completing their Annual Self Evaluation Process.

The attached audit form reflects the 3 phases of the National Agreement that began in January 2003. The form can be completed online by clicking here or printed and handwritten. All returns to be received by 1st May, 2006 please. A summary of the data gathered will be made available via the Workforce Remodelling website on esinet.

I fully recognise and acknowledge gratefully the vast amount of voluntary work Governors put into their schools to ensure that the children and young people of their community have a positive educational experience.
