School Improvement Partner (SIP)
A briefing for Headteachers:The main purpose of this free twilight briefing will be to outline in more detail, the process of seeking accreditation as a Primary SIP. This follows from MI sheet 7/07, which drew the attention of Headteachers to advertisements which will appear shortly in the TES.
The SIP role offers a significant professional development opportunity for serving Headteachers, as well as demanding a high level of personal and professional commitment to work with a range of other schools within and beyond Norfolk.
This briefing will include a short presentation to explore the three stages of the accreditation process from application to completing the on-line assessment and successfully passing the two-day development and assessment programme.
This will be followed by an opportunity for questions and discussion about combining the role of SIP with that of a serving Headteacher.
Further training sessions have been arranged for the summer term for Headteachers who would like to develop the skills required in the assessment process.
