Marcelle Curtis wrote to you in September giving details of the interim arrangements to support you following the Norfolk County Council Children's Services restructuring process. At that time a permanent manager for the team was being sought. From the beginning of January I took on the position of Team Manager, and I am now looking forward to working with you, and colleagues in the Southern Area Team, in our shared efforts to improve outcomes for children and families.

Early Years Support Teachers will provide advice and support both in the Early Years Foundation Stage and to meet the needs of children with SEN. In some cases they will also provide practical educational support to Early Years practitioners in a Children's Centre. In all cases their support is provided to ensure the highest quality provision for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will note from the above table that we still have a number of high school catchment areas that have temporary Support Teacher cover arrangements. This remains an interim arrangement until a new Support Teacher joins our team after Easter. If you are unable to contact your named Support Teacher, please refer queries to me and I will ensure they are addressed.

Initial support in early years settings around children with special and additional needs will be offered through your Support Teacher. In the event of more complex cases support continues to be provided by Jean Chaston, Support Teacher across the whole of the Southern area. Any request for additional support should initially be made through your named Support Teacher for your area. Any setting that has ongoing SEN support in the South will continue to receive that support from Jean.

Development Workers work with a wide range of local service providers and key partner organisations to meet identified local needs of families through the development of Children's Centres and Extended Schools Services including childcare. Again, these team members would be your first point of contact within the area.
