Update on Perspective

Good news from Ofsted. They have agreed that there is no need for schools to submit their SEF to the Ofsted website any more. Instead they have agreed that the SEF should be e-mailed to the Inspector when s/he calls you to say you are to be inspected. At that point the inspector will provide the appropriate e-mail address.

Perspective will generate the SEF for you through its Print option. In fact your SEF is not printed; rather Perspective generates a PDF file that you can store on your own computer, print and/or e-mail as required.

Perspective is having a major upgrade on 2 April. The upgrade will include the promised School Improvement Development Planning tool. The tool allows you to pull through those elements of your SEF you have identified at grades 3 or 4 via the Bite Sized Questions. These form the basis of your SIDP that you can produce immediately. Or you can use Perspective to record actions or go even further and use Perspective to monitor progress on each of the actions. More info to follow once the upgrade is available.
