Swap, Donate or Sell Surplus School Items via Schools’ Exchange

We would like to thank Gina Dix of Alpington School and Liz Simon of Wroughton Middle School for the idea of creating a space within EsiNet to enable schools to swap, donate or sell items surplus to their requirements. This service is now available at Schools’ Exchange (you may have to log into My School first).

Schools’ Exchange provides a place for you to advertise items that the school wishes to dispose of, in effect, an electronic pin board. The service will also handle any subsequent, agreed financial transactions. The service is free and we hope it will help schools to maximise the resources in Norfolk schools and reduce waste.

To meet legal and financial requirements there are some limitations to what this service can offer, these are given in detail here but the key limitations are that Schools’ Exchange cannot be used for:

the advertising of personal items

individuals to acquire items for their personal use

transactions other than between Norfolk Local Authority schools
