Norfolk's SEND School funding system
I recently provided an MI Sheet (26/18) to outline significant changes that we are making to the way SEN is funded for mainstream schools. I promised that we would brief schools on these developments and that we would provide, initial, guidance on the changes as soon as possible. Attached is the first version of this guidance.
This has been informed by our briefings with schools during the course of this week and will be updated regularly during the summer term to ensure that we provide more details regarding the operation of the revised funding model. Therefore, please do read this initial guidance, note the further information that will follow (and the outline dates for these) and also the links to our FAQ information and feedback mailbox.
Can I thank school colleagues who have already attended briefing sessions, those who have submitted questions and those who have volunteered to assist with the further development of the new SEN Funding model in the coming weeks and months. I fully appreciate that this is a major change and I equally appreciate the constructive partnership working we have been able to undertake with your support on this development.
