School term and holiday Dates 2019/20
Thank you to everyone who responded to the consultation exercise at the end of last year. Although the number of responses was low, the majority did support the dates proposed. The calendar is attached for your use.
This calendar must be used by community schools, community special schools, voluntary controlled schools and nursery schools. They determine the days on which school transport will be provided. Beyond this, governing bodies of foundation, voluntary aided, foundation special and free schools, and the trust of each academy continue to have the opportunity to consult on a different pattern, but must bear in mind the need to minimise the impact on families, potential additional transport costs and the value of aligning term dates with our neighbouring counties.
