School Funding Consultation

The DfES produced a consultation on school funding covering the period 2008-11. The consultation period ends on 1 June 2007. The Children’s Services Review Panel considered a formal response at the meeting on 16 May 2007. It was suggested Norfolk schools be encouraged to support the local authority response on a number of matters which are considered particularly important to Norfolk schools.

The draft response considered by Review Panel is now available.

The consultation paper consists of 38 detailed questions.

Schools are requested to support the local authority response, in particular, to questions 2, Q3, Q4, Q16, Q18. These particular proposals are likely to impact on the funding of all Norfolk schools. Other questions will be of interest to individual sectors e.g. secondary, schools with nursery provision.
