Further Developments to Perspective

An updated version of Perspective is planned for release from 10 September 2007. When Norfolk first entered into partnership work with Angel Solutions a key negotiating point was that the company would listen carefully to our requirements and the outcomes of our experiences as users of the product. We wanted to ensure that as the product developed we were driving developments to meet our schools and LA needs. Angel Solutions, who provide Perspective, have been true to their word and worked tirelessly to meet our requirements. As a result there have been many improvements to the original product, many of which have been proposed by Norfolk users. Angel Solutions has asked us to pass on their thanks for the good ideas and requests that you keep them coming.

Some of the changes are small, some are more significant e.g. the removal of word limits which has caused some Norfolk users particular difficulty. Update to the new SEF format and the capacity to automatically convert existing content to the new format. The integration of RaiseOnLine. An easier way to access forgotten passwords!

A number of schools have asked to be able to incorporate data from IPSS, KeyData and the Norfolk Schools website into their SEF evidence base. This is now possible by the addition of a piece of free software. Click here for more details.

Data
- Word limits have been removed
- Ability to upload a school logo or use the LA logo which will appear on each report
- New SEF Questions for the 07 SEFs
- New 07 SEFs
- Ability to port from 06 to 07 SEFs (this will probably be forced on first logon after new release)
- Old SEFs and evidence base reports will be maintained
- New BSQ Content
- New tab for every Bite Size Question (BSQ)
- Shows RaiseOnline documents uploaded by the user into a special RaiseOnline folder
- Date controls in the Data section now appear blank unless set

- User feedback is given on saving the SEF

- Fixed highlight problems in the top navigation
- Changed link text to the training video in the help section
- Fixed bug when deleting a user who has associated actions or tasks.

Online surveys
- Improved survey interface
- New surveys with reports
- The ability to issue multiple surveys per year
- The ability to set which issue of a survey evidence tabs are based on
- New School Surveys Tab that lists all surveys with links to the reports.

Document Management
- Documents and Links can now be stored in a folder system
- Documents are now listed in the evidence base report
- New Document Tab which allows navigation and viewing of document system and attaching of docs, links and folders to a question.

Actions
- Development Area description is used when creating an action from the questionnaire section
- Actions can be created from evaluation questions
- Actions can be created ad-hoc
- Spacing issues on Areas for Review report
- Added a button to link the action details page back to the questionnaire section
- Changed layout of the action tab to be more informative.
