Autumn 2007 School Census
School Census - 2007 Autumn Census
The DCSF requires all Schools to complete their 2007 Autumn Census return on Thursday 4th October 2007. Please ensure that your School Census file reaches the Information and Research Centre not later than 12th October 2007. Files should be sent using Anycomms (AVCO) data transfer system. Any school unable to use this should contact Louise Bassett on 01603 222352 or Gill Williamson on 01603 222355.As part of the Department's aim of seeking to reduce the number of surveys sent to schools and Local Authorities, the September School Census 2007 comprises the data collected in May 2007, except:
- Attendance data will be collected for individual pupils, both 'On Roll' and 'No Longer on Roll' for the period between 9th April 2007 and 25th May 2007 inclusive.
- Exclusions data required for pupils specified in the Exclusions Module who were subject to any exclusion with a start date during the period 1st January 2007 and the 8th April 2007 inclusive, and for which Exclusion Appeal is not equal to 'R' or 'O'.
Annual Attendance for all pupils from 1st September 2006 to 25th May 2007.
What can I do now?

Phoenix Schools only
Please ensure you have updated your Phoenix with the latest patch before running your School Census.
Non-Phoenix Schools
Schools are requested to use their School Census compliant software to produce their School Census return. Non Phoenix Schools will need to contact their appropriate support team.
Could you please also remember to do your September 2007 LA return as usual.
