Curriculum Analysis

Curriculum Analysis

The DCSF (Department of Children, Schools and Families) Curriculum Analysis and Modelling Tool is used to identify shortfalls in school’s accommodation. The results of this along with other information is used to fully assess the ‘Key Issues’ relating to Secondary School accommodation.

The curriculum analysis and modelling process looks at the number and type of rooms/spaces the school has at present and then compares this to the recommended number of rooms and spaces the DCSF define a school should have in the Building Bulletin 98 Area Guidelines given the curriculum taught and number of pupils/staff at the school.

Schools are asked to return to us a copy of their curriculum details and supporting information as detailed in the example attached to this MI sheet. Please return either by fax or email by 30th November to Jane Blackwell of Children’s Services, Planning and Buildings, Room 7, County Hall, Norwich NR1 2DL, Tel: 01603 222287, Fax: 01603 224291.

Any school that has already completed and sent in this information this term are advised that they do not need to do this again.
