MI 136/07 gave details of revisions to the school teachers pay and conditions document 2007.As a result of these revisions and other suggestions made by colleague Headteachers, the model policy has been updated and clarified. Please click here for access to the revised documentation, which we are re-submitting in a Microsoft Word application to better enable schools to tailor the model to meet their own requirements in the areas where options are available.
Since MI 176/07 was issued a number of enqiries have been received in respect of further progression up the pay spine for leadership spine for Headteachers (6.1.5) Deputies (6.2.5) and Assistant Headteachers (6.3.6) Specifically the enquiries have related to eligibility to the considered under the Performance Management Regulations of 2002 or 2006. To clarify this: - any progression from September 2007 is under the (old) Performance Management Regulations 2002. - first reviews under the (new) Performance Management Regulations 2006 are not due until September 2008.
