Local Government Pension Scheme Changes 2008 - Update
MI 48/08 gave details of changes to the Local Government Pension Scheme in April 2008. This MI referred to two documents on HR@Norfolk. These were the contribution rate policy and details of Roadshows to provide information to staff regarding the changes.Feedback from schools suggest it may be difficult for staff to attend the Roadshows as they have been arranged during school hours. The information provided by these sessions is contained in the video held on the Norfolk Pension Fund website. As some schools and employees may find it difficult to view the video, copies of this video are available on CD-Rom. This MI sheet also referred to a contribution rate policy on HR@Norfolk which provides staff with information about how they were allocated to their new contribution band and detailing an appeal procedure if they feel they have been wrongly allocated. When this document becomes available it will be distributed to schools via a new MI sheet.
