MBA Senior Leadership - Part time

Can be completely financed through the Apprenticeship Levy

In response to an emerging theme in the training needs analysis undertaken by Neil Henery and John Platten, there is an opportunity to put together a cohort of approximately 10 colleagues to study for the MBA at UEA, either from September 2018 or January/February 2019. Successful completion of the course and assessment secures the MBA and also Membership or Fellowship of the Chartered Management Institute.

The course is partly taught through a series of evening and Friday/Saturday blocks, along with work based projects and a week's residential project in the Czech Republic working with some very large global companies such as Coca Cola, Tesco and 3M. The qualification would be expected to take two years. Our cohort would be taught with leaders and managers from other sectors such as the Health Service and Financial Services, along with full time MBA students. Details can be found at

www.uea.ac.uk

The course fee of £18,000 can be paid for from the Apprenticeship Levy for those institutions which pay the Levy (those with a salary bill above £3m) and this is likely to be the case in many MATs. For maintained schools it is the LA which pays the Levy and so leaders in maintained schools can be financed through the LA's levy. I understand that Norfolk County Council has an excellent procurement framework for this so it should be simple to expedite.

UEA's Business School is very happy to put on an Open Evening for us if there is sufficient interest. If you are interested in exploring this further then please email me by 9am on Friday 8th June 2018.
