Criteria for Statutory Assessment

Norfolk published its SEN Criteria in November 2005. This has been updated and takes into account the development of Children's Services and particularly the Single Area Panels. The new April 2008 SEN Criteria is attached.

The referral forms have also been amended to ensure that the views of all children and young people are sought and recorded.

Settings and Schools should begin using the new referral forms immediately.

The Criteria document will shortly be available on the Intranet. Ideally referral forms should be completed electronically and then printed off for signature. It is not possible at present to accept school or setting referrals via email.
