Second Update on Barclays Signing Software And firefox
(Ensure you are using the latest version of e-Signer to protect yourself from cyber-threats)
Barclays has a new update version of the Gemalto signing software (has been available since the 7th of May) which every school needs to upgrade their Gemalto software for latest protection against cyber-threats and the most reliable and secure experience when using Barclays online channels.
Therefore it is critical that every schools uses Barclays online need to update the latest version of Barclays e-Signer software which ONLY Internet Explorer 11 and Mozilla Firefox ESR 60 or higher are supported on Windows operating systems

However, we would like to inform that Barclays will never send you a link to software unless you have requested a member of Barclays support team to do so. Only ever download software from the Barclays Signing Software download site.
Before installing the update it is recommend that you check compatibility by ensuring you comply with Barclays Hardware and Software requirements and with any other Smart Card service which you may operate.
Therefore any Firefox users do need to update their Firefox for the latest version.
Also e-signer software (GEMALTO) needs to be updated to the new version.
Any users without new versions (if they are using Firefox) and GEMALTO (e-signing software), will no longer be able to use Barclays.Net online services.
