Headteacher Performance Management: Guidance for Governing Bodies on the Completion of the Headteacher's Review Statement
MI Sheet 145/08 referred to the performance review meeting arrangements for primary Headteachers and the role of the School Improvement Partner (SIP) in the meeting.The guidance notes made it clear that it is now expected that a member of the group of governors appointed to carry out the review of the Headteacher's performance will, following the review meeting, also take responsibility for preparing the Review Statement.
To assist governors with the performance management, process model documents have been drafted. These are:
a sample completed Review Statement, for guidance in terms of content; a blank Review Statement, which governors may use if they wish
