(1) KEY STAGE 2 - Provisional Test Results
A summary report showing provisional KS2 test results for your school has been placed in the "My School" area of the Norfolk Schools website. To access it, go to KeyData, scroll down and click on the "MoreInfo..." button which is on the right hand side of the page in the Attainment and Achievement area.
Although KS2 test results will not be published until March 2009, provisional figures will be shared locally in "KeyData" and "Improving Performance Step by Step" (IPSS) from 1st November. (There are very few schools in Norfolk with marking issues still outstanding.)
ACTION BY 20TH OCTOBER
Please will you notify Chris Jackson or Dom Mingaye at the Information and Research Centre (IRC) of any changes to the above provisional test results. In order to implement changes to overall school figures, we will need the details at pupil level. Please email the changes to irc.schoolperformance@norfolk.gov.uk by Monday 20th October, at the latest. (Any results received after this date will not be included on 1st November, but KeyData and IPSS will be updated subsequently on the first day of each month.)
(2) KEY STAGES 1 & 2 - New FFT Analysis to Support Self-Evaluation
A revised "FFT Analysis to Support Self-Evaluation" report is available in the "My School" area of the Norfolk Schools website. It can be accessed either using the direct link in KeyData, or via the "MoreInfo..." area (described above).
In this revised version you will find:
KS2 data has been recalculated by Fischer Family Trust (FFT) to be more accurate so you may find some minor changes to your 2007 CVA figures.
KS2 2008 data will not be included until the national dataset is made available to FFT by DCSF.
KS1 data is now included in this document rather than being provided separately.
KS1 2008 data is already included.
(3) KEY STAGE 2 - New FFT School Estimates for 2010 to Support Target Setting
New FFT School Estimates reports have been provided in the "MoreInfo..." area of "My School" on the Norfolk Schools website.
(a) | The first report provides estimates for all indicators, including English and Maths combined, and two levels progress, and is available broken down by gender and by upper, middle and lower prior attainment groups. There is an additional report for 2011 if needed to support the setting of trajectory targets. |
(b) | The second report provides most of the above (but not % Level 5+) and provides estimates for vulnerable groups such as SEN and FSM. There is an additional report for 2011 if needed to support the setting of trajectory targets. (Please destroy any estimates provided last year, as they have been superseded by these revised and more up-to-date estimates.) |
You were due to receive paper copies of your FFT pupil-level estimates by courier post on 20th/21st October. Instead we are able to provide you with this information earlier, and more securely, via AnyComms (AVCO secure data transfer). Two files are ready for you to download from AnyComms, one with FFT pupil estimates for 2010, and the other with FFT pupil estimates for 2011. The latter will only be needed if you are required to set trajectory targets. (Please destroy any estimates provided last year, as they have been superseded by these revised and more up-to-date estimates.)
(5) KEY STAGE 2 - Target Setting in RAISEonline
There is a new facility in RAISEonline to assist you with your target setting if you wish to use it. We haven't offered any training to help you with this because:
(a) | LAs do not have access to the full functionality as it contains pupil names, |
(b) | Ofsted's intention is that it is sufficiently user-friendly, with good online help, so that training will not be necessary, |
(c) | If you are using FFT pupil estimates and your own tracking data, you don't have to use the target setting functionality in RAISEonline. You are recommended, however, to check the overall target setting report in RAISEonline. |
If you have any queries on school performance data issues, please contact the Data Analysis Team (Schools), Information and Research Centre, County Hall, email irc.schoolperformance@norfolk.gov.uk, or phone Chris Jackson, tel. 01603 224223, or Dom Mingaye, tel. 01603 222984. `
