Norfolk for September 2010
This document details Norfolk County Council's proposed co-ordination schemes including the proposed timetables for Norfolk primary and secondary school admissions for September 2010. It also includes propose changes to the admission arrangements for all Norfolk community and voluntary controlled schools for which the County Council is the admission authority.
A electronic form will enable consultees to respond to these proposals. A paper from can be printed from the Admissions website. The County Council will also display on School Finder on our website admission arrangements for foundation and VA schools who wish to use this facility and schools can also comment on these proposals too.
It is proposed that there will be only minor changes to the co-ordination scheme or timetable for September 2010. We are also consulting on two options for the new policy on the hours of education offered to four year olds as well as asking for comments on the new requirement for local authorities to co-ordinate all in-year admissions both primary and secondary from September 2010. In addition minor changes are proposed for a small number of Community and Voluntary Controlled schools as detailed in the consultation document.
There is now a legal requirement for the local authority to consult with parents on the proposed admission arrangements and I would be grateful if you could advise the parents in your school that the consultation is now open and how they can access it and respond.
The consultation on proposed admission limits for September 2010 is being undertaken separately and is available via eCourier on MI sheet 2/09.
Responses must be returned by 22 February 2009
