Norfolk County Council has submitted an expression of interest in applying for this funding and must now submit a more detailed bid by the end of February 2009. To help shape our bid we would be interested in hearing from schools that intend to allocate some of their own Devolved Formula Capital to support kitchen or dining room improvements during 2009-10 or 2010-11. It may be possible to secure national funding to match fund some of your projected spend through this bidding process.

If you have identified this in your planning it would be helpful if you could send a brief email with a short paragraph on what you plan to do and the approximate amount of school funds provisionally allocated. This need be no more than two or three sentences but because of tight timescales will need to be received by Thursday 26 February. Please accept our apologies for the short notice in requesting this information. The purpose of seeking this information is simply to help guide us in the bidding process. Schools unable to reply by this time will not be excluded from applying for funding should we be successful in our bid. The conditions attached to the funding however, do mean that retrospective applications for work already carried out may not be considered under the terms of this grant.
