Asbestos Management Assurance Process (AMAP)

The official deadline for completing the Asbestos Management Assurance Process (AMAP) form passed on 25 June, however at the time of writing the site was still accepting submissions. If you have not already completed the process for your school please do so as a matter of urgency. The website is here, and guidance on its completion is available through HR Infospace.

About the AMAP

The AMAP is an online survey produced by the Education and Skills Funding Association for the Department for Education in order to gauge how effectively asbestos is being managed in schools. While the documentation suggests completion is not compulsory, it is also indicated that failure to do so is likely to increase the likelihood of a visit by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). All schools should therefore complete the survey. If you are complying with NCC'S Asbestos Control and Management Compliance Code (P602) you will be able to answer all questions positively.
