Pupil Census Requires Language Codes for EAL
The DfE no longer requires schools to provide information on Language Proficiency, Pupil Nationality and Country of Birth in the pupil census. However, LANGUAGE CODES for EAL pupils must still be entered in the Home / First Language category in order to generate EAL funding and to give an accurate census return.
Please ensure you correctly enter the language codes for your EAL pupils.
