Barclays Signing Software (GEMALTO) and Firefox
Ensure you are using the latest version of eSigner to protect yourself from cyber-threats.
Based on our records, we have noticed that some of our schools are still using old versions of eSigner software and Firefox browser. However, using an old version of eSigner software and an old version of Firefox browser is not fully protective against any cyberthreats. Therefore, we highly recommend to our schools to check that they have the latest eSigner software and, if they are using Firefox, to be updated with the latest version.
Therefore, it is critical that every school using Barclays online needs to update to the latest version of Barclays eSigner software, which is fully supported ONLY when used with Internet Explorer 11 or Mozilla Firefox ESR 60 or higher on the Windows operating systems.

We would also like to remind you that Barclays will never send you a link to software unless you have asked a member of Barclays' support team to do so. Only ever download software from the Barclays Signing Software download site.
Before installing the update it is recommended that you check compatibility by ensuring you comply with Barclays' Hardware and Software requirements and with any other Smart Card service which you may operate.
