Termly Attendance Network Meeting
The focus will be for schools and academies in Norfolk to receive local and national updates from Norfolk County Council in relation to supporting attendance. In addition, to provide an opportunity to share and develop effective practice to support improvements in attendance. As regular Network Meetings progress we will have a selection of resources, tools and strategies to implement in school to improve attendance.
Cost: Introductory price of £65 per delegate. If you have purchased level 2 or 3 packages through the Traded Attendance Service, you are entitled to two free delegate places.

Aimed at Primary and Secondary Schools Attendance Leaders/Attendance Officers with strategic/operational lead for whole school attendance.
The School Attendance Leader would normally be a member of the SLT who is invited to bring their Attendance Officer/ Administrator with them.
Description
- To support schools to secure high levels of attendance and reducing persistent absence to come in-line with or better national averages
- The network meeting will consider the current situation across Norfolk regarding pupil attendance in primary and secondary schools.
- Examples of good practice in schools to improve attendance
- Opportunities for schools to work in partnership with a common approach to increase consistency across Norfolk.
- Guest speakers will also be invited to give further advice and guidance about related issues such as Children Missing Education, Service to Home Educators, Medical Needs
- Identification of further training/network needs for the next Attendance Network Meeting Summer Term 2019
Outcomes
School Leaders for Attendance will:
- Understand the key messages from the LA regarding improving attendance across the LA
- Have an opportunity to network with other schools and share practice
