NQT Induction 2019/20 Support Package - Norfolk Appropriate Body

Norfolk Appropriate Body (NAB) is the largest, most experienced local Appropriate Body. We continue to provide the most comprehensive and robust programme of support, advice and guidance available. Our scheme is underpinned by our drive to recruit and retain the best teachers. We ensure compliance of the statutory regulations so all NQTs receive a personalised programme of support to give them the best start.

Package includes

  • Support from a dedicated, experienced team
  • Independent quality assurance of statutory induction
  • QA audit of school processes (on request)
  • Access to a suite of resources
  • An annual conference
  • CPD activities that reflect the core areas identified in the DfE Early Careers
  • Framework (ECF)
  • NQT Wellbeing sessions
  • Mentor training and guidance
  • Additional, personalised support for vulnerable NQTs
  • A mediation service to promote positive working relationships

Registering your NQT with Norfolk Appropriate Body

All schools/ institutions using Norfolk Appropriate Body (NAB) should register their newly appointed NQTs on our electronic on-line system, NQT Manager. NQT Manager is a paperless, online system for recording data securely, submitting assessments, accessing resources, raising alerts and managing NQTs during induction. NQT co-ordinators or head teachers can access the system by following this link.

How to purchase services

The charge for each NQT registered remains at £235 per term. Schools with over five NQTs will receive a 10% reduction for each additional NQT.

Before you register your NQT, please check the following

  • The NQT has QTS and is eligible to start induction
  • The NQT’s last name and date of birth
  • The NQTs post is a suitable post in accordance with statutory guidance 2.17.
