Education Transport - School Term dates 2019/20
As you will be aware, Norfolk County Council issues a Model Calendar for term dates, which most schools/colleges adopt as their own term dates, also selecting their staff training days from within the calendar as recommended. This Model Calendar is used to organise school transport services for pupils to attend your education establishment.
However we are aware that many schools/colleges are now choosing to set their own term dates and staff training days, which means that we can no longer assume that school transport needs to be provided only on the days given in the Model Calendar. It is therefore imperative that you confirm to us what your term and inset dates are, even if you currently have no transport into your establishment - as you may require this in the future, even if it's just for one taxi.
To make it easier to provide us with the required information a short survey has been created for a member of your team to complete. A school-specific link to this survey will be emailed to your school on Monday 3 June 2019.
We must emphasise that failure to complete the survey may result in non-attendance of pupils to your school when other schools are closed and any costs of services provided when your establishment is closed may be charged back to you.
The deadline for completion is 21 June 2019.
