High Needs top up funding in Mainstream School Sixth Forms

This funding stream is from the Education and Skills Funding Agency and is for learners with learning difficulties and or disabilities. A high-needs funded student is one with support costs over £6,000 in any academic year. Any student costing less than £6,000 is not classed as high needs and therefore should be funded out of the school's own disadvantage funding budget.

You should make an application for high needs funding for any student in your school sixth form for 2019/20 as soon as possible but no later than the end of December 2019. Applications received after this date may not be considered for funding.

The following documentation provides more information about Post 16 High Needs Funding Panel Mainstream School Sixth Form Applications and includes the associated request form and guidance on completing the form:

These documents can also be downloaded from the Help You Choose website in the 'Advisers and Teachers' section or from the Norfolk Schools website.
