Schools Financial Value Standard 2019-20 (SFVS)
The Department for Education has recently released an update to the SFVS return for 2019-20 that consists of a checklist containing 29 questions (previously 25) and a new data dashboard. The checklist asks questions of governing bodies in 6 areas of resource management (previously 4) The data dashboard shows how a school’s data compares to thresholds on a range of statistics identified by the Department for Education (DfE) as indicators of good resource management and outcomes. Following these updates, we have produced a video tutorial for you to view so you can familiarise yourselves with the requirements before completing the return.
The video can be accessed via the learning hub. Click www.norfolk.learningpool.com/login/index.php to visit the login page. If visiting the learning hub for the first time, you will be required to complete a short self-registration form to set-up a user account and password. To do this, click on the ‘School Finance Create Account’ link and follow the instructions. Once logged in, find and click the ‘SFVS 2019/20 Changes’ course image on the main menu in the Refreshers section, or type ‘SFVS’ in the course search box. Once you’ve enrolled on the course you will arrive at the course page where you will be able to access the eLearning course containing the videos, and a range of supporting resources that includes the SFVS Assessment Form 2019-20. The form can also be accessed via Infospace www.infospace.org.uk/ or via the DfE website www.gov.uk/government/publications/schools-financial-value-standard-sfvs
