Emerging Fraud Risk (Schools) – TV Licensing
We have been made aware of a current scam which is targeting schools, concerning TV licensing. Please read below for further details.
Risk
A potential fraud has been identified in Norfolk whereby schools are being contacted by email to update their TV Licences. These emails are not genuine and not being filtered by spam detection.
Identification
The email purports to be from "TV licensing" and states:
Today is your last day to remain licensed
Your bank has declined the latest Direct-Debit payment. |
You may receive similar emails from different addresses and with different wording
Action
Should you receive such an email delete immediately and do not click on the links or provide any details.
