Element 3 Funding arrangements for the Spring term 2020

As the work of the SEND and AP Transformation Programme continues, we would like to thank all schools and academies for their support to date and remind education settings of arrangements for Element 3 funding for the current term, up to the end of the financial year 2019/20.

Please note:

  • The Authority will carry forward current SEN support and EHCP pupil allocation of Element 3 funding into the Spring term 2020. This includes all decisions made for new SEN Support and EHCP applications made during the Autumn term 2019
  • Similarly, any cases that have been allocated Exceptional Circumstances funding during the Autumn term, will be carried forward to the Spring term

Actions for schools:

  • Newly identified SEN support and EHCP pupil requests for Element 3 funding, including exceptional circumstances funding will continue within the current process and will therefore require submission of an application form
  • Application forms are now available on Perspective Lite
  • The application form should also be used where there is a request for band amendment
  • Schools should inform us within 7 days where a funded pupil has left the school
