EHCP Section F Provision
Following the findings of a Local Government & Social Care Ombudsman (LGSCO) investigation, Norfolk County Council (NCC) is required to review its processes and implement;
'a system of checking that provision in a new EHC plan is always put in place to discharge the Council's duty under s.42 Children and Families Act.' |
Therefore, we will with immediate effect, follow up all new final EHCPs issued to settings with a standard email (see below) drawing attention to the provision set out in section F of the plan.
Settings should respond to the email confirming the provision is in place, within 4 weeks of receipt.

Dear Headteacher/SENCo,
You will have recently received the Final EHCP for (NAME).
NCC is responsible for ensuring that settings are implementing the provision detailed within Section F of the EHCP. NCC has a legal duty to ensure that the provision is being delivered.
On behalf of your setting, you should respond to this email within 4 weeks to verify section F provision is in place as per the recent LGSCO direction.
