Free School Meals (FSM) School Access Module - Reminder

A reminder for schools of MI Sheet 43/20 issued on 13 March 2020

Schools can now view details of children entitled to Free School Meals/Pupil Premium through a secure website.

  • Enter the User Name and Password, previously provided by the Admissions Team for the SAM (School Access Module) system, to proceed to the Home Page.
  • On the home page, select View FSM Eligibility.
  • All children attending the school will initially be displayed regardless of a free school meal entitlement.
  • The user can use the options panel on the left hand side of the screen to narrow down the search field as they wish. To display children entitled to free school meals under FSM Status select "Entitled".
  • For Infant and Primary schools those entitled to Pupil Premium can be displayed by selecting FSM Status to "Entitled" and FSM (UI) Eligibility to "Yes".
  • The School Access Module shows live data held by the Free School Meals Team and we will no longer send regular reports.
  • Data can be exported to Excel by clicking on "Actions" on the top tool bar.

Transfer Rounds

You can see children entitled to Free School Meals who are transferring to the school in Year 7 or Year 3 from September by selecting "Entitled" and under School Options click on "Use Accepted Preference School". This information will only be available after National Offer days (2 March 2020 for Transfer to Secondary, and 16 April 2020 for Transfer to Junior). As the admission transfer allocations are continuously changing it may be wise not use this information until later in the summer term.
