Information for the recruitment and induction of Early Career Teachers (NQTs)

From September 2021, statutory induction for new teachers will change as part of the Early Career Framework (ECF) reforms: all early career teachers (previously referred to as NQTs) in England undergoing statutory induction will be entitled to 2 years of high-quality professional development support based on the ECF.

The DfE has confirmed that schools in Norfolk will be supported by two new Teaching School Hubs from September 2021. Each hub will serve schools in distinct districts:

  • Inspiration Teaching School Hub: Breckland, South Norfolk, Great Yarmouth, and Waveney; with a central delivery site in Norwich and intended satellite sites in Thetford, Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft
  • Julian Teaching School Hub: Broadland, King's Lynn and West Norfolk, North Norfolk, and Norwich; based at Notre Dame High School
